Visitors are welcomed at Baba's Jêm by Eileen Baron
where
she works away in her green kitchen.
Browse through her kitchen and lounge for unique and interesting varieties of jams,
chutneys, atchars and pickles.
Here you get to discover what jam, chutney, atchar and pickels are about!
The fresh fruits and vegetables grown in the
fertile Ceres valley are used to make the preserves at

Meals at BABA'S JêM
Also served from the kitchen at Baba's Jêm is traditional Cape
Malay Cooking like roti, vegetarian curry, vetkoek,
chakalaka and samoosas.
After all the tasting and eating try Eileen's home
brewed ginger beer or moerkoffie*
(*coffee made from roasted coffee beans placed in a muslin
bag and brewed in a tin coffee pot)

House Restaurant,
located behind the Old Toll House, in Michell's Pass, outside Ceres.

At Baba's Jêm demonstrations
are done on how to make various traditional foods such as:
- Mosbeskuit
- Ovenbread (baked in a woodfire oven)
- Vetkoek and various jams

Visits at BABA'S JêM
Groups are
welcome at Baba's Jêm to taste and buy the unique preserves on
offer and
groups can view a demonstration on how to make various traditional foods (Mosbeskuit,
Ovenbread, Vetkoek, Roosterkoek and Jams).
Light Traditional Meals are also offered for groups.
All Group Visits must be booked in advance.
