2 & 3: Old-fashion/ Traditional Bazaar  - Ceres Transport Rider’s Museum  
The museum hosts their annual traditional bazaar where delicious, homemade treats like bread, pancakes, ginger beer, biltong, etc. and locally made arts & crafts are sold.

06: Ceres Lions Club presents a Gala Music Concert  
The Ceres Lions Club will be hosting a gala music concert in the DR Church Hall, Prince Alfred’s Hamlet at 19h30.  This event will include the well-known singer, Minette du Toit-Pearce and pianist Elna van der Merwe and proceeds will go to the Roselt du Plessis Trust Fund.  Tickets at R150 p/person and includes a 3-course meal. 13: 4x4 Moon Drive @ Matroosberg Nature Reserve   
4x4 Moon Drive: Before sunset drive up the Matroosberg 4x4 route and at the spectacular Groothoek Kloof canyon, enjoy your own sundowners and picnic.  After the full moon has risen (after 7pm) drive downhill in the moonlight. Picnic baskets available by prior arrangement.

10 - 12: Eselfontein Outdoor Festival  
This has become a must do on every serious mountain bikers calendar. An array of disciplines and distances cater for all levels of riders, but the true magic of the Eselfontein Experience lies in the variety and quality of the single-track incorporated in the event. Whether you get your kicks from lung-busting climbs, breathtaking views, long fast descents, single-track or just a cruise through the orchards, the Ceres MTB Experience should not be missed.

11: Witzenberg Birding Club: Annual Birding Day @ Bergsig Estate  
Join this local birding club for their annual birding day at the Bergsig Wine Estate, in the Breedekloof (outside Wolseley).  It coincides with the Breedekloof Outdoor Festival. Please book in advance with De Wet Lategan - see details below.

26: Matroosberg Quad Bike Adventure Weekend  
A day filled with quad bike fun and adventure, with participants taking ‘quads’ through a obstacle course and time trail testing speed and road holding. Also some other surprising challenges will be on offer.  Spectators welcome

07 & 08: Ceres Classic Golf Day  
The Ceres Golf Club, situated at the foot of the beautiful Skurweberg Mountains and sheltered from the South Easterly wind, offers this major golfing weekend on one of the best 9 hole courses in the Cape, with high quality greens, smooth well-grassed fairways and magnificent views.

08: Witzenberg Birding Club: Mini Birding Big Day  
This club will be having a Mini Birding Big Day as a forerunner/ preparation for the Birding Big Day later in the month.  Persons attending will be working in teams. Contact Pietman Basson - see details below.

28 - 30: King of the Mountain (Gydo Pass Hillclimb)  
A weekend of spectacular racing with road/rally and racecars partaking on the Saturday starting at 14:00 and the heavy metal machinery on the Sunday starting at 13:00. There are 27 turns, 6,5 km of sheer rock face on the one side and a serious drop off to nowhere on the other, set on the famous majestic Gydo pass. Each driver has 3 timed runs and the one with the fastest timed run secures the title “King of the Mountain.

28 - 30: Gydosig Christmas Light Festival   
The residents of the Gydosig retirement village decorate and light up their houses with a variety of colourful Christmas lights and decorations. Bring the family and view this wonderful sight of lights!  Also find here a small market with home made treats, coffee/tea garden and a variety of foods like roosterkoek, sosaties, afval, potjiekos, wine etc. A small entrance fee is charged and opens at 19h00.

Ceres Christmas Market (Date TBA)  
An evening Christmas street market in the central business area of Ceres. A part of Voortrekker Road (main road) is closed for a few hours to traffic and pedestrians can move freely along the street through a variety of stalls – from Christmas gifts, toys, arts and crafts, home made treats and speciality foods. The start of the market coincides with the official switching-on of the Ceres Christmas lights in Voortrekker Road. Also life entertainment and music by local artists and musicians.
The Market ends on the Sunday evening with gospel music and carols to celebrate Christmas with family and friends.
